Employees and shareholders celebrate the jubilee

All teething troubles overcome

In the spring of 2002, Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen first opened its doors for Chinese and other Asian customers. The company has since then grown steadily and successfully overcame all teething troubles.

In the meantime innumerable projects were completed and the range of products and services broadened significantly. It was the outstanding performance of the team with currently 130 employees that made this quick growth possible. Wolfgang Breckau, President & CEO of Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen, especially emphasized the strong combination of good results and an enjoyable atmosphere.

For the celebration, the employees were joined by representatives from the company's shareholders. Uwe Mukrasch, Chief Executive Human Resources and Information Management and Dr. Andreas Heizner, Senior Vice President Aircraft Base Maintenance at Lufthansa Technik, as well as Yang Xiaoming, General Manager and Wang Zhehui, Assistant to the General Manager from Beijing Kailan Aviation Corp., expressed their congratulations on behalf of their companies.

"During the last five years the product portfolio of Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen has grown continuously. The employees have constantly proven their eagerness for knowledge and their capacity to learn.", said Uwe Mukrasch in his address to the staff.

An enjoyable celebration

The birthday party was held in Shenzhen's Evergreen Resort and started off with games and activities. During a festive dinner the guests witnessed several performances. The highlight of the evening was a dance performance by Lufhansa Technik Shenzhen's dancing class. The group of female colleagues is training twice a week after work. All colleagues and guests applauded enthusiastically after the performance.
